Few Things about You

Your communication skills need to be strong, and your attention to detail second to none! You’ll need basic food preparation and cooking skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. Being a team player is key, as well as putting customer service at the heart of everything you do.

You’ll need to have:

·       2 years experience as a Pastry Chef 

·       Basic Food and Hygiene and Health and Safety Certificates

Main Responsibilities

We are looking to take the catering offer to the next level for events and school lunches, where we will provide our own range of cakes and sweet treats. This position is for someone who already has experience in pastry and is looking for a great life balance as we are a day school predominantly operational mon-fri. We are open to discussing start and finish times with the candidate to suit their lifestyle.

Main duties will include :

Preparing sweet treats for 1,000 lunches a day

Creating cakes for events and designing sweet menus for events

Working with chef team to deliver treats for 6th form cafe and breaktime cafe

 

 

 

The Ideal Candidate

Will have previous experience as a pastry chef

Will be looking for an excellent work life balance

Flair and imagination in pastry

Creative in pastry design and excellent attention to detail 

Dedication to allergen information and food hygiene
