You’ll make sure that our students feel like they are at home by preparing and serving fresh, delicious, home cooked meals through the day! You’ll be a vital part of our amazing team and you will ensure that our kitchen and service areas are always kept glistening!

A few things about you

our communication skills need to be strong, and your attention to detail second to none! You’ll need the ability to work well under pressure, as this is a very busy catering service as we serve almost 1,600 students each day!

With a focus on customer service, you’ll put our students at the heart of everything you do, always ensuring to deliver an excellent service! Being a team player is also key, after all there is no ‘I’ in team.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve never worked as a Food Service Assistant before, what does matter to us, is taking pride in what you do. A willingness to learn and develop new skills is a bonus too!

An enhanced DBS check will be required if offered this role.

 

Main Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for preparing and serving food with care and attention, replenishing stock, and ensuring all work areas are glistening! With great service at the heart of what we do, you’ll always provide excellent service.

To keep our service running like clockwork, you’ll complete all administration when needed, focusing on tasks such as checking food temperatures, food wastage, cleaning and washing up.

You will always ensure that all Health and Safety regulations are followed.

The Ideal Candidate

 

 

This is a customer facing role so it’s important to have a positive, friendly attitude. You will work as part of a team and will need to have strong communication skills, being able to also work independently.

Experience working in a similar industry i.e., food service, catering or hospitality would be great, but generally customer service experience will tick the box!

A general knowledge of health and safety procedures would also be beneficial.
