As a catering assistant, you will work under the direction of the head cook, to ensure that the needs of our service are met.

To keep the kitchen ticking along, we will require you to assist with food preparation and independently preparing hot meals and sandwiches for our patients.  You will ensure that the kitchen and equipment are kept clean and hygienic at all times; labelling and rotation of stock to include allergen information and to be compliant with Health and Safety policy and regulations.

A few things about you

We are looking for a Catering assistant with a desire and enthusiasm to make a difference, with a friendly, can do attitude. You will be working within a team, so strong communication skills is a must, but when it comes to our patients, a more warm hearted approach is necessary.

Experience working in food services, catering or hospitality would be desirable, but certainly not essential, as training will be provided, along with a general knowledge of hygiene and health and safety procedures.
