Package Description

Exciting opportunity to join our small over night cleaning team working 20 hours a week Monday to Friday from 10 pm to 2 am

Full on the job training prrovided to work in a head office site in the Fforest Fach area of Swansea.

Job Introduction

Main assignments – Indicate the main activities / duties to be conducted in the job.

  • Undertake all required training in relation to all aspects of the night cleaning service delivered to the client, as requested
  • Wear uniform and personal protective equipment, as specified by the cleaning supervisor / manager
  • Comply to all Sodexo and client policies / procedures in relation to housekeeping / infection control / security 
  • Ensure that all requirements in relation to COSHH are adhered to, as specified by the cleaning supervisor / Soft Services Manager
  • The method of conducting all cleaning tasks is as directed via the Great / cleaning offer task cards / pictorial task cards and specific Local Operating Procedures
  • Ensure that the site/cleaning offer correct color-coding policy is always adhered to
  • Ensure that all requirements of the specified cleaning offer, are carried out, as directed by the cleaning supervisor/ manager
  • To report all faults in relation to cleaning machinery/ equipment to the cleaning supervisor
  • To carry out any reasonable request, as specified by the cleaning supervisor / management team
  • Comply with all Company and Client  Policies and procedures,
  • Complete all records as directed accurately and in timely manner
  • Report any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food or other irregularities to line manager, taking appropriate action where possible
  • Actively support and promote the “One Team” ethos of working and supporting between departments
  • Cross train in other departments to gain skills to be able to provide cover if required
  • Any other reasonable request by management on the  contract

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain all areas of responsibility to the set standard of cleanliness within the timeframe given, complying at all times with standards laid down in the work schedule
  • Maintain excellent client/customer relationships
  • Comply with all Sodexo company policies/procedures and client site rules and regulations
  • Continue to develop one’s own skills and knowledge within the position, including any required training courses
  • Attend team briefs, huddles and meetings as required
  • Attend your performance development review to discuss job standards and agree development activities
  • Maintain clients accommodation, using cleaning equipment, materials and supplies.
  • Wear the appropriate uniform and PPE as required
  • Report any near miss occurrences, accidents or faulty equipment to management
  • Ensure effective communication with line manager, team, customer and client organisation
  • Provide cleaning services support across the site including using cleaning equipment, materials and supplies as directed when appropriate to clean different areas within the site

Essential:

  • Demonstrate good communication skills
  • Able to work on own initiative and within a team environment
  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Experience of working within military environment
