Whether you're looking for additional income, want to make the most of your weekends, or need a role that works around your existing commitments, this could be a great opportunity for you.
Working independently, you'll prepare and serve fresh, nutritious meals for residents and staff, helping to create a welcoming environment and supporting the wellbeing of those within the premises. Your cooking will play an important part in providing a positive and supportive environment for individuals as they work towards rebuilding their lives in the community.
What you’ll do:
• Prepare, cook, and serve fresh, nutritious meals to a consistently high standard
• Take ownership of the kitchen during weekend shifts, confidently managing food preparation and service
• Deliver an excellent dining experience while maintaining high standards of food quality
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and Environmental Health regulations
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and safe throughout your shifts
What you bring:
• Previous experience as a Cook or Chef within catering, hospitality, or food service
• Relevant culinary qualifications such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery (desirable)
• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety practices (IOSH qualification desirable)
• A genuine passion for preparing quality meals and taking pride in your work
• Confidence working independently and managing your own workload
• Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
