We are seeking a dedicated Site-Based Cleaner to join our Sodexo team in Bangor. In this role, you will play an important part in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment, supporting the health, hygiene, and comfort of residents and staff across the site.

Approved Premises play a vital role in supporting individuals released from prison by providing enhanced supervision and rehabilitation within the community. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a unique residential setting, gaining valuable experience while contributing to positive outcomes for individuals with complex needs.

What you’ll do:

  • Complete scheduled cleaning tasks across kitchens, offices, meeting rooms, toilets, and communal areas, ensuring consistently high standards across the site.
  • Maintain clean, hygienic, and welcoming spaces, ensuring essential supplies such as soap, sanitiser, toilet roll, and paper products are fully stocked.
  • Follow Sodexo policies and procedures relating to infection control, security, COSHH, and health & safety.
  • Work safely at all times by wearing the correct PPE, reporting hazards or equipment issues, and following all site processes.
  • Support the wider cleaning team by being flexible across different areas of the site and providing cover for holidays or absences when required.

What you bring:

  • Previous experience in cleaning or a similar role within a corporate, residential, or professional environment is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and communicate clearly with colleagues and site users.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a wider team.
  • A strong eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and working in line with data protection requirements.
  • A willingness to complete additional training relevant to the role, including areas such as first aid, security awareness, and health & safety.
  • The ability to successfully complete security screening, including BPSS checks, in line with client requirements.
