Join Sodexo as a Kitchen Porter and be part of a friendly and rewarding catering team. You’ll play a key role in supporting the kitchen team, ensuring the kitchen is clean, organised and running smoothly in a professional, fast-paced environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within a busy catering operation while helping to deliver an excellent service. Whether you have previous kitchen experience or are looking to start your career in catering, you’ll be part of a supportive team where your contribution genuinely makes a difference.

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen, utensils and equipment. 
  • Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic preparation and general kitchen duties. 
  • Ensure dishes, pots and equipment are washed efficiently and returned to the appropriate areas. 
  • Dispose of waste safely and correctly, following site procedures. 
  • Monitor cleaning supplies and report any shortages or requirements to the appropriate person. 
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations at all times.

What you'll bring:

  • A positive, friendly attitude with a strong team-working approach. 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail, cleanliness and hygiene. 
  • Reliable and willing to support the wider kitchen team when needed. 
  • Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable but not essential. 
  • Full training will be provided to help you succeed in the role.
