If this is, YOU join Sodexo and be part of something greater. You belong in a team where you can act with purpose and thrive in your own way.

What you’ll do:

  • Follow instructions from chefs, supervisors and ward teams carefully, particularly when working in a busy environment where accuracy and timing are essential.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and organisation, completing required temperature, cleaning, labelling and food safety checks.

What you bring:

  • The ability to listen carefully, follow instructions and work accurately, particularly when dealing with patient meals and dietary requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of responsibility, especially when handling allergens and preparing food for patients.
  • Good communication skills, with the confidence to answer telephone calls from wards and communicate information clearly to colleagues.
  • Clear written communication skills, with the ability to accurately record information, requests and kitchen records.
  • The ability to work efficiently and stay organised in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment, while maintaining high standards.
  • A good understanding of food hygiene, safe food handling and the importance of preventing allergen cross-contamination.
  • A positive, reliable and team-focused approach, with a willingness to support chefs and colleagues and contribute to a high-quality patient dining experience.
