Job Introduction

• 40 hours per week

• 5 days out of 7 on a rotating schedule

• Varied shift pattern with one week of early shifts and one week of late shifts

• Only 1 weekend in every 4 required

• Weekday shifts: 06:30–15:00, 08:00–16:30, or 10:30–19:00

• Weekend shifts: 09:15–17:45

What you’ll do:

• Prepare, cook, and present fresh, nutritious meals to consistently high standards in a busy kitchen environment.

• Support the delivery of meals for military personnel, along with functions, events, and special occasions.

• Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness, ensuring full compliance with Environmental Health regulations.

• Assist with large-scale food production while maintaining quality, presentation, and attention to detail.

• Work closely with colleagues across the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver an excellent dining experience.

What you bring:

• Previous experience as a Cook/Chef within catering, hospitality, or large-scale food service.

• A good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.

• Excellent organisation, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment.

• A genuine passion for preparing quality food and delivering excellent customer service.

• Experience within military, government, or contract catering is desirable, along with IOSH certification and basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
