Job Title: Cleaner
Location: Speke
Contract: Permanent – Part Time 25 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 5 hour shift between 6:00am – 6:00pm
Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour
About the Role
We're looking for reliable, hardworking Cleaning Operatives to join our team based at Elanco in Speke. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a professional pharmaceutical and laboratory environment where maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety is essential.
As a Cleaning Operative, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our facilities remain clean, safe and compliant. Your duties will include cleaning offices, meeting rooms, laboratories, toilets, shower facilities and welfare areas, supporting GMP and laboratory cleaning, replenishing consumables, reporting maintenance issues and following strict health, safety and hygiene procedures. You'll work as part of a supportive team to deliver consistently high standards that help keep the site operating efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily cleaning duties to the required standards.
- Follow cleaning schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely in line with COSHH regulations.
- Complete all mandatory site and client training, including GxP training where required.
- Wear appropriate PPE and company uniform at all times.
- Report equipment faults, maintenance issues and safety hazards promptly.
- Maintain cleaning stores and stock levels of consumables.
- Support colleagues across different areas during periods of absence.
- Comply with all Health & Safety, infection control and security procedures.

- Previous commercial cleaning experience (preferred but not essential).
- Experience working in laboratory, pharmaceutical or GMP environments or an awareness of GxP standards would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
