Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Operative to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Paisley.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and motivated individual who takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within a professional and regulated working environment. The role involves cleaning a variety of areas across the site, including offices, welfare facilities, cleanrooms, warehouse areas, workshops, and communal spaces.
Working as part of the facilities team, you will help ensure that all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of cleaning and hygiene across offices, cleanrooms, warehouse areas, welfare facilities, and communal spaces.
- Carry out routine cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, buffing floors, dusting, and sanitising surfaces.
- Clean and maintain washrooms, changing rooms, kitchens, canteens, and other staff facilities.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and manage waste and recycling in line with site procedures.
- Work in accordance with Health & Safety, COSHH, GMP, and site-specific regulations.
- Support the wider team by providing cover during periods of absence and assisting with additional cleaning requirements as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues, incidents, or health and safety concerns promptly.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous commercial cleaning experience
- The ability to work independently and manage their workload effectively
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- A flexible approach to work and willingness to support different areas of the site
- Excellent reliability, punctuality, and customer service skills
Experience working in cleanroom, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or highly regulated environments would be advantageous but is not essential, as training will be provided.
