What You'll Do:

  • Organise, support, and deliver high-quality meal preparation and presentation across all sites, ensuring service standards are consistently met 
  • Deputise for the Head Chef when required, maintaining smooth kitchen operations in their absence 
  • Ensure all food is prepared safely with full consideration of dietary requirements and allergens 
  • Lead compliance with Health & Safety, hygiene, and statutory regulations, including completion of relevant risk assessments and checks 
  • Manage key kitchen operations including menu planning, rotas, ordering, deliveries, stock control, and inventory management 
  • Monitor site performance continuously, ensuring efficient service delivery within budget and in line with contract requirements

What You Bring:

  • Food Safety Level 2 (minimum requirement) with allergy awareness training 
  • Strong knife skills and solid knowledge of food preparation techniques 
  • Proactive, flexible approach to duties and working hours 
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills with ability to prioritise effectively 
  • Able to work independently with strong communication and customer service skills, including customer relationship management experience 
  • IT and systems literate, with experience supporting reporting, quality assurance, and monitoring data; experience in delivering financial targets is desirable
