Maintenance Caretaker 

Dublin 24 - Full time

What you'll do: 

  • Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of building fabric, systems, and general maintenance requirements.

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure all areas meet required standards.

  • Perform minor repairs to building fabric, services, and equipment as directed by the Facilities Manager.

  • Conduct routine daily and weekly inspections, reporting and addressing issues promptly.

  • Respond to helpdesk requests within agreed timeframes and provide timely feedback to relevant stakeholders.

  • Identify, report, and escalate safety hazards or maintenance concerns (e.g. fire safety issues, faulty lighting, damaged flooring).

  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are used safely, appropriately, and only following proper training.

  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, reporting and isolating faulty items when necessary.

  • Ensure appropriate safety signage is displayed and communicate risks clearly to building users where required.

  • Monitor material usage and control costs by minimising waste.

  • Keep storage areas clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards.

  • Monitor stock levels and inform management when replenishment is required.

  • Adhere to all security procedures relating to materials, equipment, and site access, reporting discrepancies immediately.

  • Maintain high standards of personal presentation, hygiene, and professionalism in line with company policies.

  • Comply with all company and client policies, procedures, and site regulations.

  • Follow all health and safety legislation and best practices, including fire safety, chemical handling, and safe systems of work.

  • Attend required training sessions and meetings to support ongoing development and service delivery.

  • Provide operational support and cover across other areas during periods of absence or increased demand.

  • Undertake additional reasonable duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.

What you'll bring: 

  • Previous experience in a similar client facing role is a plus, but excellent interpersonal and communication skills are the key

  • A positive, energetic and proactive attitude

  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
