Job Introduction
Offender Management Unit (OMU) Prison Offender Manager / Independent Domestic Violence Advisor
As an OMU Prison Offender Manager / Independent Domestic Violence Advisor, you will play a vital role in protecting the public, reducing reoffending, and supporting the safety and wellbeing of women in custody. Working within a multi-disciplinary environment, you will manage a caseload, assess risk, and contribute to effective sentence planning and resettlement.
This is a highly impactful role where you will work closely with internal teams and external agencies to support rehabilitation, manage risk, and ensure safe and successful reintegration into the community.
About the Site
HMP Bronzefield is a closed local prison and is the largest female prison in UK and Europe. We focus on delivering high‑quality, needs‑led services that support women to make positive and lasting changes. Our programmes promote rehabilitation and well‑being, and we care for around 14.5% of the national female prison population, including mothers with babies, young offenders, women on a range of sentence lengths, foreign nationals and those on remand. The prison includes multiple residential units, a healthcare centre, gym, library, workshops, visits hall, chaplaincy and kitchen.

Main Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of prisoners, providing ongoing support, motivation, and guidance in line with sentence plans
Assess risk of harm and likelihood of reoffending, making informed and defensible decisions
Develop and coordinate resettlement and release plans in collaboration with probation and partner agencies
Deliver tailored support to individuals at risk of domestic abuse, including safety planning and advocacy
Maintain accurate case records and complete all required reports, including MAPPA and parole documentation
Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, external agencies, and stakeholders

The Ideal Candidate
Ability to build professional, pro-social relationships with a wide range of individuals
Experience working with vulnerable individuals, particularly those affected by domestic abuse
Confident in assessing risk, analysing information, and making sound decisions
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly organised, with the ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines
Resilient and able to remain professional when dealing with challenging or sensitive situations
The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced Level 2 and Advanced DBS check.
Package Description
Salary: £33,078.97 + London Weighting £3,729.24
37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
