We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to support our Café at the Portrait Gallery, and restaurant kitchen team. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently during both café and restaurant service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Wash and clean dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, work surfaces, floors, and storage
  • Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed
  • Help FOH team to clean the tables in the café
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous kitchen or catering experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café and restaurant environment
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Flexible availability, including weekends
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK
