Job Introduction

• 25 hours per week

• Monday to Friday. 5 hour shifts worked between the hours of 7:00 and 16:00.  However, flexibility may be required to cover evening and weekend working to meet business needs

• 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

• £12.71 per hour

Job Description:

As a Security Escort/Chaperone at HM Naval Base, Portsmouth, PO1 4QT, your role is vital in making sure that we provide a safe and secure environment for our clients. You'll be tasked with escorting visitors and deliveries to a variety of areas of the Naval Base.

What you’ll do:

• Escort deliveries to warehouse areas and ships.

• Escort visitors on site to meeting/interview locations

• Driving on site to escort visitors and take deliveries

• Ensuring Security and Safety is adhered to

• Communicating with naval base personnel

• Take instruction on designated delivery areas

• Conducting Daily Vehicle checks from a checklist and reporting defects to Naval Base Motor Transport Department

What you bring: 

• Effective verbal and written communication
• Able to work on own initiative and within a team environment
• Attention to detail and adherence to standards 
• Computer Literate 
• Knowledge of security techniques and site and local emergency procedures 
• For insurance purposes you must be over 25 and hold a Full UK Driving License 
• Due to security requirements you must have been continuously resident in UK for last 5 years to apply for this position
