Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for Front of House Café Team Members at Gallery of Modern Art One Edinburgh. 

Are you energetic, passionate about all things foodie and enjoy a customer facing role? The role requires flexibility and will include weekend and occasional evening work. Previous experience of working in a fast paced cafe environment is a must for this role and training will be provided. This is a highly interactive role. We want our customers to receive the best customer service - Our emphasis is on great food, served with a smile!

Main Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests, taking orders and serving beverages to guests
• Care about customer satisfaction and deliver the optimal client service experience
• Serving guests in a friendly, welcoming and efficient manner while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Help answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverage choices and related item

The Ideal Candidate

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following skills:

• Great barista skills – but training can be provided
• Cash handling experience
• Commitment & passion to deliver the highest standards of customer service
• Heaps of energy, positivity & enthusiasm, ability to work under pressure
• Fantastic communication, applicants must have an excellent command of both written and spoken English.
• A high standard of personal presentation
