What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in all aspects of the preparation of daily food production and presentation of food to the notified standard.

  • Prepare all food with due care and attention, particularly in regards to customers’ special dietary requirements: for example, dairy or wheat allergies

  • Assist with the replenishment of food to ensure service periods do not stop.

  • Assist with the hygienic cleaning of kitchen to comply with all Health and Safety regulations.

  • Assist with the implementation of cleaning schedules to agreed standards.

  • Promote a friendly working relationship with colleagues.

  • Promote a good company image to customers and guests by using positive customer service practices.

  • Assist with the set up and presentation and execution of all catering functions.

  • Undertake occasional duties outside the normal routine but within the scope of the position and the department’s activities

  • Assisting the Executive Head Chef and Senior Sous Chefs with paperwork including stock ordering and take

  • Contribute ideas to future menus.

  • Assist, as required, at special functions, some of which may occur outside normal working hours, for which you will be paid overtime.

  • Report any complaints or compliments and take action if at all possible

  • Report any incident of accident, fire, theft, loss or damage and take action as may be appropriate

  • Attend meetings and courses, as required

  • Comply with statutory and company requirements.


What You Bring:

Essential:

  • Experience in Catering environment

  • Experience following recipes in a professional kitchen

  • Strong knowledge of fresh produce and ingredient preparation

  •  Demonstrate experience of working in a similar role within the service industry at a comparable level in a company

  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to standards.

  • Analyse problems analytically, develop opportunities and implement innovative solutions.

  • Basic Food Hygiene and Health and Safety Certificates including:

    • NVQ Level 2

    • Level 2 Food Safety Certificate

  • At least one year of hands-on cooking experience (Training in Food Hygiene and Health & Safety provided)

Desirable:

  • Proven experience of managing client relationships
  • Proven track record of leading, managing and developing a team.
  • Working knowledge of Pastry
