Head Chef
Location: Bradford, BD4 6SE
Contract: Permanent/37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday 06:00-14:30
Sodexo are looking for a talented Head Chef to join our team in Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated culinary professional to lead our kitchen operations, inspire the team, and deliver an exceptional dining experience.
The Role
As Head Chef, you will:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth, efficient workflows.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the kitchen team to deliver consistently high standards.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality, with strict attention to portion control, presentation, and allergen compliance.
- Monitor stock levels, control costs, and minimise waste.
- Uphold and enforce food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards at all times.
- Support the Catering & Events Manager in achieving financial and service delivery targets.
- To ensure that all statutory regulations and company policy are adhered to.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Professional culinary training (City & Guilds Level 3/NVQ equivalent desirable).
- Food Safety Level 3 and strong knowledge of HACCP and allergen management.
- Experience leading a team in a high-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A hands-on leadership style with the ability to inspire and mentor others.
- Stamina and resilience to thrive in a demanding service environment.
