Are you ready to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the facilities behind some of the world’s most iconic whisky brands? Sodexo is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Junior Facilities Engineer to support the delivery of hard services across Scotland’s Central Belt, including Glasgow, Stirling, Oban, and Isle of Islay.
In this dynamic role, you’ll work closely with the manager and wider team to ensure all statutory requirements are met., mandatory, and reactive maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. You will help manage subcontractors, maintain compliance with KPIs, SLAs, and PPM schedules, and support robust environmental, health, and safety practices—including risk assessment management.

What you’ll do:
- Support the Technical Facilities Manager in delivering high-quality technical services and service excellence across multiple sites.
- Assist with site and subcontractor surveys, including organizing site visits and liaising with engineers and subcontractors.
- Manage Risk Assessments and Method Statements for in-house engineers and subcontractors.
- Help plan, cost, coordinate, and execute Technical Service projects, including managing PPMs and reactive works.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Technical Service policies and procedures.
- Provide clear technical support to users and customers, documenting issues and solutions, escalating complex matters, and maintaining professional communication.
What you'll bring:
- City & Guilds Trade Qualification (Mechanical/Electrical) or relevant degree in facilities, engineering, or project management.
- Practical knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety legislation and related general regulations.
- Strong interpersonal, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills with computer literacy, especially Microsoft packages.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and adapt to time-flexible job requirements.
- Full, clean driving license.
- Desirable: NEBOSH/IOSH certification, knowledge of Permit to Work Systems, Risk Assessment, CAFM systems, Legionella Water Quality Management, and Asbestos Management.
