At Sodexo, we believe in the power of excellence and service. As a Multi Skilled Services Engineer, at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, you’ll be a vital part of our on-site team, delivering safe, effective, and customer-focused Hard FM services in a healthcare environment that truly matters.
You’ll carry out maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical systems and general building services, ensuring our hospital remains a safe, efficient, and welcoming place for patients, staff, and visitors.
What You’ll Do:
- Planned and reactive maintenance across HVAC, air conditioning, chillers, boilers, plumbing, and more
- Collaborating with your team to meet service level agreements and ensure compliance with best practices
- Engaging with colleagues and visitors with courtesy and professionalism
- Providing technical expertise, supporting apprentices, and driving continuous improvement in our systems
- Working with minimal supervision while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality
What You Bring:
- A time-served engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical & electrical building services
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, plus understanding of water regulations and heating systems
- Strong multi-skilled ability across mechanical, electrical, and building fabric
- A customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills
- A flexible, collaborative mindset, ready to work within a shift and on-call rota
- Knowledge of H&S, statutory compliance, and a passion for continuous learning
Desirable but not essential:
- HNC/HND or equivalent in engineering or building services
- Experience in healthcare environments
- Familiarity with Health Technical Memorandums (HTMs)
- Proficiency in using digital tools such as PDAs
