Location: Grays , London, RM20 4AL

Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (occasional weekend cover required)

Salary: £12.21 per hour 

We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Waste Operative to join our team in Grays London. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, physical capability, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily collection of general, plastic, and cardboard waste bins across the site
• Collection and transport of cardboard pallets from multiple site locations to recycling areas
• Loading pallets onto trailers for removal
• Coordinating waste removal with the nominated supplier
• Ensuring all waste is properly baled, compacted, or packaged as required
• Storing waste in compliance with regulatory guidelines
• Completing and filing all documentation for each collection and delivery
• Keeping equipment in safe working order
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in all work areas
• Segregating waste into correct containers for disposal

About You:

• Excellent communication and literacy skills
• Comfortable working independently and within a team
• Ability to comply with service standards in line with company and client policies
• Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence
• Solid understanding of health and safety (HSE) standards
