Job Introduction

As a Kitchen Porter at Swinton Barracks in Perham Down, you'll be one of the key catering staff, without you we cannot run our kitchens efficiently!

What you’ll do:

  • Clean and sanitize equipment and workstations 
  • Work closely with the chefs and larger catering team, to ensure the running of kitchen and dining facilities is efficient and smooth
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is used correctly, and report any faults to your line manager
  • Assist with deliveries, replenishing stock and its rotation 
  • Waste disposal in a safe, thorough, timely manner

What you bring:
 

  • Basic food-handling knowledge
  • A good sense personal and environmental safety 
  • Willing to learn new skills and gain experience whilst in the role
  • No previous work experience required
