Job Introduction

Join Sodexo as a Chef Manager at Diageo Baileys, where you'll play a key role in managing our catering operations. This position involves preparing and producing food to meet company specifications, client requirements, and legislative standards, ensuring excellence in service delivery and operational efficiency.


What you’ll do:

• Prepare and produce food and service to customer specifications as detailed in the QAA/Business Plan

• Ensure the accurate completion of the E-prophit system and conduct regular stocktaking

• Recruit catering personnel in line with Sodexo procedures

• Provide training to employees to ensure excellence in customer service, adherence to company policy, and compliance with legislation

• Effectively manage the catering team, ensuring adherence to the communications policy

• Conduct annual appraisals for all employees, communicating training requirements to your line manager

• Manage the agreed budget to maximize sales while minimizing costs

• Enhance and improve service by introducing new products, special events, and identifying opportunities for additional services

• Maintain the E-ProphIT filing system to the required company standard

• Ensure all staff are familiar with and adhere to food hygiene, health and safety legislation, and company policy

• Liaise regularly with the client, keeping them informed of company initiatives and unit financial performance

• Ensure the security of all assets under your control

• Present a strong Sodexo image at all times


What you bring:

• Previous experience in a similar role, managing catering operations

• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety legislation

• Experience in recruiting, training, and managing a team

• Ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, customers, and team members

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

• Commitment to providing excellent customer service and continuous improvement

• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative within a team environment

• Flexible approach to working hours, including the ability to work outside normal hours when required
