Sodexo is seeking a Deputy Facilities Manager at Sudbury to join our team.

We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and dynamic individual to contribute to the smooth operation at our prestigious site.

  What you’ll do:  

  • Support the General Services manager in overseeing the daily operations, ensuring facilities are well maintained and meet all safety and compliance standards.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the facilities operation.

  • Lead and manage a team fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment

  • Assist in preparing and managing budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality. You will be utilising Kronos and E-Profit.

  • Implement and monitor health and safety protocols, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments 

  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring their satisfaction,

  • Managing the site security team in line with Sodexo site procedures

  • Working with the cleaning manager, ensuring the operational aspects of the service is adequately covered

  • Working with the catering manager, ensuring excellent service delivery

What you bring:  

  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Previous experience in financial acumen, including budget preparation and management.
  • The ability to share new and useful ideas, whilst also welcoming input from others to develop and implement creative ideas.
  • You are able to stay focused on the tasks, despite any disruptions or obstacles.
  • Must have the ability to contribute to positive morale and a sense of team spirit
  • Proactive in leading on the development of strong sustainable relationships both internally and externally.
  • Take a lead on setting high standards, obtains feedback and monitors the results to ensure standards are met.
  • Hands on approach to all services delivered on site.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 in Catering would be beneficial, but not essential
  • IOSH training would be an asset, but not a must
  • Understanding on Health and Safety protocols.
