AV Technician/Transport Coordinator

About the role: 

We have a team of dedicated AV support technicians behind us, and we currently have a vacancy for you to join our amazing Sodexo family as a AV Technician here at Stevenage, Herts!

This is a fabulous opportunity for a customer focused individual who has a passion for technology. You’ll bring your technical knowledge of video conferencing and audio equipment, your keen eye for detail and your excellent communication skills, to keep everything ticking over.

What you'll bring: 

• Manage and maintain all meeting rooms and events (from an AV perspective and also from a conferencing and customer support perspective)
• Play an integral role in the Meeting Service Line, delivering data and attendance at team huddles/comm cells
• Act as a point of liaison for customers in respect of non-standard meetings/events and the services they require. This may include, but not be limited to, signage, space/configuration advice, liaison with other service partners (e.g. catering) in the planning stage of meetings
• Track all call outs and activities and report back accordingly. 
• Maintain, update and create travel relevant intranet pages / mailboxes
• To provide technical and business “best practice” advice to the customers and implement new procedures and equipment as required 
• Proactively monitor the room booking system to identify and approach customers to provide assistance
• Management of site notice boards and communication areas in line with customer requests.
• Carry out and complete any Helpdesk requests within the set time frames escalating to line management for support as required. 
• To provide technical AV advice and support to customers for all events run at site
• Attend training sessions as and when required.
• Assist with editing and recording facilities as and when required. 
• Devise and implement initiatives for reducing dependence on car travel: Walking, cycling, public transport and car sharing
