Sodexo are recruiting a Senior Operations Manager to join our staff community at the Leonardo Helicopters site in Yeovil.

You will support the Account Director on delivering facilities management across the client’s site, encompassing both hard & soft services, ensuring safety, cost, quality, continuous improvement and compliance metrics are achieved by Sodexo through the effective coaching and management of the on-site Sodexo team.

You will be a key figurehead in the business and be responsible for relationship management with senior stakeholders in the Leonardo Helicopters organisation to ensure services support and facilitate the full range of FM services driving for consistency and standardisation across the site.

You will be accountable for ensuring the assets (Sites, Buildings and Equipment) managed by Sodexo are safe, legally compliant and fit for business. 

You will have ownership of the site Sodexo risk register and will work with delivery teams on site and Sodexo leadership teams to develop and maintain local SHE to ensure the site needs are met

You will also have responsibility for our new zonal workplace experience management and leadership, and with a technical background will support in the aspiration to become a technical centre of excellence and will help lead the delivery of ‘future technical’ which will embrace new technology, processes and innovation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will provide consistent direction on the key issues that are relevant to all Business functions including Emergency Response, Business Continuity, Internal Communications etc.
  • Proactively manage & monitor performance the services delivered by Sodexo and ensure actions are in place to improve performance as appropriate to meet the agreed Sodexo outcomes whilst adhering to contract requirements. 
  • Act as Duty Holder for the buildings under Sodexo control with direct responsibility for the following
  • Understand your duties with regard to legislation and mandatory requirements for engineering, technical and SHE compliance.
  • Make sure that staff and contractors in your areas adhere to the requirements of SOPs and company procedures related SHE compliance and technical compliance.
  • Ensure appropriate processes & compliance measures are in place for the assets in your area and take action to investigate & rectify issues when necessary.
  • Keep up to date with changes and developments on the site, with their customers and in the external FM environment and work with senior customers to find optimum solutions for their Sodexo service needs evolving the service provision as necessary.
  • Provide direction and motivation for the Sodexo function, managing performance, and developing the skills and capabilities of colleagues through effective leadership of the Sodexo site team and role modelling ‘leadership’ across Sodexo. Driving performance through the Sodexo CPI’s & KPI’s scorecard target setting and other processes.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You will be highly skilled and experienced in  facilities management, with a proven track record in delivering exceptional service standards. You will have developed from a technician/HNC background supported by substantial experience of similar roles and/or a member of professional FM and/or engineering organisations e.g. BIFM, IMechE, CIBSE etc.

You will also have:

  • Commercial skills and management of large and diverse budgets and work force
  • A Recognised H & S qualification.-NEBOSH
  • Extensive customer service experience.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop people in large and diverse teams
  • The ability to own a problem through to resolution.
  • Sound financial acumen
  • Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills will be essential, as will a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of health and safety standards
