We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our Quality Assurance Team in London (Whitechapel).  You will be responsible for all elements of quality and compliance across The Good Care Group. Overseeing the Quality Assurance Framework comprising audit activity, reporting and regulatory style mock inspections of services and departments. The Quality Assurance Manager will also own the Quality Improvement Plan; engaging in continuous improvement activities to ensure that policies, procedures and ways of working always reflect best practice. 

You will lead the Quality and Compliance Team to develop and maintain robust quality management systems to ensure that regulatory requirements are not only met but exceeded. You’ll provide specialist advice and guidance to colleagues on matters of quality and compliance, and will support the organisation to learn lessons when things go wrong. 

The Quality Assurance Manager makes a meaningful contribution towards enhancing quality of life for the clients of The Good Care Group, by driving continuous company-wide improvements and ensuring the very highest levels of compliance with both internally and externally set standards.

Main Responsibilities

 

You will be responsible for all elements of quality and compliance across The Good Care Group. The Ideal Candidate

It is essential you have prior management experience along with previous experience in a quality and compliance role, ideally within a health or social care setting.

Essential

  • Ability to identify risk 

  • Confidence to highlight areas for improvement and to drive action plans forward 

  • Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage up where necessary

  • Excellent  knowledge of CQC, the Care Inspectorate, the Health and Social Care Act, the Mental Capacity Act and other relevant legislation 

  • Good knowledge of sector best practice, particularly in relation to care for older adults, dementia and end of life 

  • IT literate with a sound grasp of Excel and other data analysis tools

  • Able to analyse large data sets to identify themes and to make recommendations for both strategic improvements and improvements to ways of working

  • People management skills, ideally using a coaching approach

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to present and explain findings and ideas concisely to different audiences and in different formats 

  • Able to develop and implement quality standards & measures

  • Auditing skills 

  • Problem identifying, analysing and reporting

  • Planning & implementing strategies based on the result of audits

  • Gathering information from relevant parties to ensure the service remains up to the highest standard

Desirable

  • Experience working with Salesforce

  • Experience working with Google Suite of tools
