Job Introduction

To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance and extra works and emergency procedures as required

 

Main Responsibilities

· Supporting the General Services Manager and Technical Services Manager in the safe operation and maintenance of all plant, equipment and installations defined within the contractual service sheets

· To support and deliver the electrical and mechanical projects for the client to the agreed specification, performance, safety, qualitative and financial targets

· Accountable for managing/liaising with partner suppliers within their reasonable areas

· Adherence to client policies and procedures regarding processes and health and safety

· To deliver an ethos that promotes IFM with value focused on the customer and service to support client

· When required, to carry out electrical & mechanical maintenance, and repairs to a high level of skill, conforming to the necessary regulations/client requirements

· When required, to service, test, diagnose, repair, and calibrate engineering plant and equipment

· Interface between the client and Sodexo technical platform and Sodexo local team

· Use of IT systems to provide/monitor data and other management reporting systems

· Participate in departmental team meetings and client meetings when required

· Thorough knowledge and understanding of the systems contained within the site be able to perform a range of engineering duties safely and efficiently as requested by management

· Take part in Appraisals/Performance Reviews including the recognition of training and development needs

· Work in line with issued Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work

· Any other appropriate duties as and when requested by Sodexo site management team

· To carry out PPM, Reactive Maintenance, and extra works requirements in accordance with set schedules.

· Ensure standards are maintained to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the site systems.

· Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HA-SAWA) requirements.

· Fault finding and remedial works as required

· Weekly and periodic inspections as per H&S Inspection matrix

· Assist with other PPM/extra works related tasks

· Attend weekly site meetings and toolbox talks.

· To provide reports in relation to work and equipment as required.

· Work a split shift system.

· Escort and supervise sub-contractors on site.

The Ideal Candidate

· 18th Edition Regulations Certificate

· Electrical Installation Apprenticeship

· Multiple installation experience – FP200 / SWA (installation and termination) / cable tray / ladder rack

· Emergency Lighting – functional testing and repair

· Minimum of City & Guilds Craft Qualification Certificate (electrical / mechanical) and de-monstrable experience in a trade discipline

· Flexible with the ability to work under pressure whilst looking for continual improvements to service delivery IOSH Certificate in Managing Safely

· Compliance with CDM regulations

· Problem solving ability in response to technical issues, fault diagnosis and solution finding

· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to all levels within Sodexo

· Numerate and computer literate

· Strong sense of client focus

· The ability to listen to others understand and interpret their views

· Personal presentation must be of a high professional standard

· Prioritizing own workload and working under own initiative with minimal supervision

· Good organizational skills with the ability to organize others

· The ability to listen to others understand and interpret their views

· Supervising/monitoring/escorting of subcontractors

· Problem solving ability in response to technical issues, fault diagnosis and solution finding

· Ability to grasp requirements effectively and to relate to the service provisions of the con-tract
