About the role
Hospital stays can be quite a stressful and worrying time for our patients and their loved ones. A simple smile and high-quality service can put our patients at ease and make all the difference! 

At Sodexo, our Patient Service Assistants are vital to making sure that we provide a great all-round service for our patients and visitors.

You’ll assist in the preparation, delivery and serving of patient food and drink making sure that you provide a friendly, courteous service.

You will follow a strict cleaning schedule ensuring to maintain a clean and hygienic environment whilst upholding a high level of infection prevention throughout the hospital.  

Please note, you must have the ability to deal with clinical waste, smells, bodily excretions and fluids.

A few things about you
Our patients are at the heart of everything we do, so it’s important that fantastic customer service is always at the forefront! If you are a compassionate, friendly and approachable individual with strong communication skills, this could be the perfect role for you!

We are looking for someone with basic food hygiene, knowledge of COSHH and experience with cleaning. Infection control awareness is also vital too.  

Your organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks must be second to none, as in this role you’ll need to adapt to different tasks within different departments and also with different teams.
