Job Introduction

Four Acres is a unique site within our portfolio located in a private estate just outside Kingston Upon Thames.  Set in beautiful grounds this tranquil venue offers the perfect facilities for its residential meeting and training programmes

This position offers an excellent work life balance with sociable working hours mainly on a Monday – Friday basis.

To be successful in this role you will

  • Have previous experience of working within a 5*  Hotel /Events/ Corporate Services
  • Have previous experience working in a Sous Chef position
  • Be passionate about delivering high quality, seasonal food
  • Be able to effectively manage, motivate and lead a team
  • Be a clear communicator and enjoy being part of a team

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan and design menus with the guidance of the Head Chef
  • Ensure that food produced represents the Unilever Vitality aims and objectives.
  • To ensure consistency of both Client and Customer feedback 
  • Ensure compliance to all statutory regulations relating to safe systems of work, Health & Safety, and Food Safety, adhering to best practice principles
  • Ensure all allergen management is compliant
  • Cleaning and organising the food preparation area for the Head Chef
  • Deputise in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Assisting with Orders and Deliveries for the kitchen 
  • Training new kitchen employees on the Kitchens standards and regulations
  • Ensuring all food products to be prepared are to the required standard while maintaining and adhering to all Health and Safety regulation

 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Previous experience within a 5-star hotel or similar background
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a kitchen and front of house team
  • Industry acumen and knowledge of external catering developments & innovations
  • Experienced in adhering to and driving company initiatives
  • Personal innovation and passion
  • Demonstrative customer focus and service skills
  • Strong communication, and negotiation skills
  • Experience working in a standards /compliance environment
  • Relevant qualification and training
  • IT literate

Desirable

  • ISOH
  • Food Safety level 3
  • First aid
