Commis Chef at The Wallace Collection - Art Gallery, Marylebone

Job Introduction

Sodexo are currently looking to add to our team at The Wallace Collection, London to deliver a world class guest experience. Our French-style brasserie is located amongst inspiring and breath taking masterpieces.

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and motivated individual who will be able to create their own masterpieces, in the form of delightfully presented lunches and beautiful afternoon teas, as well as spectacular light bites and treats. 

The Wallace Collection is located in the heart of Manchester Square, serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea daily within a stunning courtyard setting.

Shifts are between 8am – 6pm approx, and the Wallace is open 7 days a week, so there are varying shifts and days between these times.

Main Responsibilities

• service is prompt and efficient.
• To Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering required standards of food and kitchen operation. 
• Support and assist any kitchen section to the required standards set by management 
• To check and receive goods ordered are to the standard and quality required and inform if there are any discrepancies or items unavailable.
• Demonstrate good customer service attitude to our clients, staff and customers
• Ensuring that company Personal and Food Hygiene, Health and Safety Standards, policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

• A positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop craft skills in a fast paced environment
• Previous chef experience
• Strong communication skills
• Basic food hygiene 
• Good customer service skills
