Job Introduction

Sodexo have a new role to join our property team as an Asset Manager  in Belfast, Northern Ireland.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing consultancy team in Belfast within Sodexo Property Professional Services (https://uk.sodexo.com/our-services/property-professional-services.html).

This role will be supporting our Head of Asset Management, ensuring the clients assets provide value to their core business. You will be responsible for developing, deploying, managing and continuous improvement within the asset management framework which is used across Sodexo, the client and supplier teams. The aim will be to develop a rich knowledge base which will enable the client to lower their risks, cost of ownership and meet their strategic needs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the transformation of extensive and complex government estates in Northern Ireland and across the UK and Ireland by delivering Asset Management services.
  • Develop Asset Management Plans to consider building performance against; space utilisation, functional performance, lifecycle planning, statutory compliance, sustainability, decarbonisation and strategic transformation.
  • Represent the Asset Management service at localised level and assist with the co-ordination of meetings, inspections, surveys and data validation.
  • Monitor the implementation of completed Asset Management Plans against allocated regions by attending co-ordination meetings with maintenance officers, project managers and site users.
  • Assist with the development of works programmes for capital and revenue expenditure on a regional and pan-estate basis.
  • Support the delivery of technical services in consideration of; structural, mechanical and electrical engineering services, fire engineering services and develop programmes of work to address matters arising.
  • Consider Asset data to co-ordinate responsive actions with other Services provisions including; Response Maintenance, Planned Preventative Maintenance, Backlog Maintenance, Minor Works Projects and Capital Projects.
  • Review the Asset Register to include the assessed maintenance standard of each Asset against the requirement detailed in the Affected Property and Infrastructure Prioritisation Produce monthly and annual Asset update reports  
  • Understand asset and asset management risk and ensure all parties have a balanced view of risk 
  • Create recommendations for the maintenance strategy, ensuring the right intervention for an asset is based on risk, condition and performance. 
  • Align work activity with the estate strategy and client business objectives. 
  • Create reporting and analytical capability to interrogate all estate and asset management data to benchmark, learn about and improve the cost / performance / risk balance  
  • Use data and analysis output for scenario modelling and to enable effective decision making. 
  • Attend the Asset Management communities of practice forum with colleagues from across the UK to develop skills and support national initiatives.

 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • A degree in a relevant discipline. (construction, property or engineering, minimum grade 2:2)
  • Relevant experience working within the built environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to engage directly with client teams and other stakeholders.
  • Competent with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong numeracy skills and be a good problem solver.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills. 
  • Attention to detail, quality driven approach. 
  • Ability to be flexible and work to deadlines.

 

Desirable

  • Chartered or desire to work towards a chartership through RICS (or equivalent).
  • Estates/ Asset Management experience or Asset Data management
