Job Introduction

We have an excellent opportunity for Learning and Development Assistant to join our team on a 12 months fixed term contract. In this role you will be responsible for providing a customer focused, accurate and efficient Learning and Development administration and query handling service.

To be successful in this position you will need to be a people focused individual with excellent communication skills. In addition to this you will have good attention to detail and organisational skills as you will be ensuring that employees are booked onto courses in a timely manner and that any queries are resolved within agreed timescales.

Main Responsibilities

  • Undertake administration for learning and development solutions including coordinating bookings for courses and trainers such as scheduling, preparing and sending joining instructions, course materials, venue booking, catering and facilitator liaison
  • Ensure all records are maintained & secure, complying with obligations under the Data Protection Act and segment specific requirements
  • Work closely with trainers to ensure that they have all necessary information for courses they are delivering
  • Provide administrative support for bulk employee communications, TUPE data gathering, mobilisation support and change projects
  • Ensure customer queries and requests are responded to efficiently, accurately and in accordance with People Centre standards
  • Ensure data inputted accurately into HR systems

What’s Essential

  • Proficient IT skills including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Committed to providing a helpful, friendly, responsive customer service
  • Awareness of goals and standards, with ability to follow tasks through
  • Well organised, with ability to work to tight deadlines and pay attention to detail
  • Understanding and respect for confidentiality
  • Accurate keyboard and data entry skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team and on own initiative

  • Experience of using SAP
