Job Introduction

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Main Responsibilities

  • Comply with Sodexo Policies/Procedures and Client site Rules and Regulations
  • Working to Health, Safety and Environmental Requirements
  • Participate in any training and team meetings as required
  • Represent Sodexo in accordance to the company values
  • Working on new systems and undertaking training on new techniques and legislation as required and passing on knowledge to others
  • May be required to use access equipment for working at heights
  • Will be required to drive company vehicle around site
  • Daily tasks may include but not limited too:- Grass cutting using heavy machinery and or push along mowers - minor plumbing tasks minor repairs and clearing of foul drains - Smoking receptacles - Painting - fitting notice boards - litter picking - window cleaning - basic carpentry - emptying insect a cuter's - maintaining site grounds

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Have a fundamental working knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
  • Have a background in general building services and Maintenance
  • Be comfortable working alone at times
  • Will have an understanding of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and building systems.
  • Have a full UK driving licence
  • Experience in driving heavy Machinary
