An opportunity has arisen to join our small closely-knit Sodexo Catering team, working across both Breakfast & Lunch services. There are no essential qualifications needed however English will be assessed as part of the interview process. You will receive full training and be required to work to strict Food Hygiene Standards & Health Safety polices / procedures. Important Information:

Apprentices will be required to have or achieve level 1 English and Maths and to have taken level 2

English and Maths tests prior to completion of their Apprenticeship. In certain circumstances, depending upon the substantive role you apply for it may not be possible to attain the IWFM certificate however we will explore alternative qualifications wherever we can.

Please be aware that when you apply for this role we will share your information with HIT Training who are a leading apprenticeship provider so that they can assist us with ensuring that the apprenticeship programme we had in mind is right for your skills. Main Responsibilities

Led by our Chef manager and working with and alongside our catering supervisor and front of house team, you will be involved with both hot & cold food production and service, across our Main Restaurant & future satellite assisted self-help Grab & Go offer. The main duties will consist of but not be limited to: Preparation and service of a full cooked Breakfast Assisting our Chef and the wider Catering team with fresh food preparation, cleaning, washing-up and delivery storage, working to recipe cards and a Menu Cycle Assisting in the preparation of our daily deli bar. Supporting the planning & production of our fresh daily Baguette & Sandwich offer, Fresh seasonal produce will be used, so the apprentice should be passionate about food quality & presentation. Various cooking processes will be used so an understanding of different cooking methods and procedures will be trained. Support our Chef with food orders and stock, so after training needs a good understanding of stock control, stock rotation, stock taking, ordering and general kitchen compliance / processes. Use of all of our Catering equipment such as blenders, mixers, fryers, dishwasher, combination ovens, steamers, grills, induction hobs, hot counters & bain-marie\'s etc. So a mature attitude towards working safely is essential.
