Main Responsibilities
- Ensure and oversee bar setup prior to guests’ arrival, with all necessary mis en place in place.
- Conduct a comprehensive staff briefing prior to service, ensuing all staff are in correct uniform.
- Ensuring the necessary mis en place is completed ahead of service and peak periods, such as half time.
- To monitor staff working practices to ensure they are working efficiently and productively, adhering to company working practises, with reference to responsibilities and job description of staff.
- Ensuring that both bar and floor staff are attentive to guests needs, working in a timely manner to minimise any wait times.
- Managing resources, ensuring a sufficient supply of stock, equipment and consumables on the bar at all times.
- Ensuring all drinks prepared are in line with service guidelines.
- Extensive knowledge of product stocked, pricing and relevant promotions, and competence in cellar management.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment, with any defective equipment reported.
- Deal with customer and staff complaints effectively and efficiently.
- Actively upselling products and maximising revenue capture.
- To accurately monitor any wastage, ensuring this is recorded through the Zonal till system.
- Reconcile all end of day banking, ensuring PCI Compliance at all times.
- Ensure area is fully cleaned with stock secured at the end of shift.
- Complete adherence to all licensing legislation, including that which is company specific.
- Rewarding and recognising staff, working to develop potential and provide on the job training.
- Complete, sign and comply with all relevant documentation, company policies or procedures.
- Be flexible & adaptable to changes, working in different areas as necessary due to business demands or in line with any reasonable request.
- To comply fully with all regulations relating to Health and Safety.

- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Being friendly yet professional
- Good attention to detail and punctuality
- Experience within a hospitality, catering or bar setting
- Experience in managing a team
